MRF 2W RALLY OF COIMBATORE 2024

POST EVENT PRESS RELEASE

"MRF 2W Rally of Coimbatore 2024", the Final Round of MRF Mogrip-FMSCI 2W Rally Championship 2023 has been conducted successfully by the Coimbatore Auto Sports Club on Sunday, 1^st September 2024. The total distance of the route was approximately 106.76 kms, with the Special Stage distance of 60.00 kms.

This last event of the 2 Wheeler INRC Championship happens to be the Championship decider for five classes. Mr. R.E.Rajendra from Team Petronas TVS Racing participating in Class1, riding a TVS RTR 450cc motorcycle, clinched the "Overall Winner of MRF 2W Rally of Coimbatore 2024" and there by this year's Class 1 Championship by posting a lowest penalty of 56 mins and 49 seconds. His team mate from TVS Racing, Mr. Abdul Wahid Tanveer of the same class bagged the "Overall Runner" title with a penalty of 56 mins 54 seconds. Going into this event there was firece competition between Mr. R.E.Rajendra, Mr. Abdul Wahid Tanveer and Mr. Samuel Jacob and the later had to be content with third.

"The track gave ample scope to test the abilities of both Men and Machine by having many technical aspects in its stages. This is one of the finest event I have participated. It ran to perfection", said Mr. R.E.Rajendra - Overall winner.

Ms. Tanika Shanbhag, winner of Women Class said it was a very fast and challenging event. The event ran like clockwork without any delay and the hospitality was outstanding".

Mr. S.Ricarius won the 'Star of Tamil Nadu' category, which is exclusive for riders from Tamil Nadu.

Mr.Madhusudan, Regional Sales Manager , MRF Limited was the Chief Guest for the prize distribution function which was held at Sennammal Kalyana Mandapam, Kethanur Sunday, 1st September 2024 at 05.00 PM.
