The 21st Chander Memorial Rally, an FMSCI event organised by Coimbatore Auto Sports Club (CASC) , Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore – 641018.
A total of 28 cars, comprising of 8 cars (including 2 Ladies) in the INRRC 11 cars in the open class, 8 cars in the novice class and 1 cars in all ladies class participated in the event.
The rally was flagged off by Dr.G.S.Sameeran, District Collector from the Coimbatore Cosmopolitian Club, Race Course, Coimbatore at 8.00am.
The participants went through from Nacikenpalayam Proceed to Kallapalayam Pirivu, Amazon Factory Road, Orratu Kuppai Village, Kari Track, Thekani, Karacheri, Arasampalayam, Kondampatti, Gothavadi, Pattanam, Kulathupalayam Pudur, Devanampalayam, Kakkadavu, Senguttaipalayam, Palanigoundenpudur, Kullakapalayam, Kurumbapalayam, Panikkampatti, Aachipatti, C.Gopalapuram, Karumandagoundenpudur, Puravipalayam, Aadhiyur, Senniur, Periyagoundenpudur, Naliankuttaipudur, Muthugoundnur, Vadapudur and finish at Vettri Nagar Layout. The first car reached there by 12.15pm
Competitors who has come various parts of our country like Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kerala, Erode, Namakkal appreciated the organisers for the enjoyable senic route.and excellent arrangement.
The rally ran safely with no incidents although the route itself was challenging from the sporting perspective. The route was made especially interesting for the competitors with some tricky time controls which tested the skills of the navigators and drivers
The prize distribution function was held at National Model Matriculation School on Sunday 19th December 2019 at 7.30pm the Chief Guest for the function was Mr.Selvanagarathinam IPS., Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore.
